Rinari is a place where the Rukai people from Kucapungan, the Houcha Village in Pintung, need to again get used to. It's a tribe to unite the people, and a place where they all need to rely on.
To many people, the typhoon Morakot is a great disaster never seen. But to us, it will be an opportunity to change our lives.
Plot
Ruo-Yi and her mother were living Pingtung, Taiwan. They lived on making handicrafts made of bamboos and led a happy life.
Later, Ruo-Yi successfully got enrolled in an exchange student program of a Japanese high school.
After high school, Ruo-Yi decided to study in Japan, and adopted a Japanese name, Miharu.
On her graduation ceremony, her mother was supposed to show up but she didn't. Instead, Miharu received a letter from Pingtung, Taiwan, and an old diary. She learnt that her mother had died from her posttraumatic stress disorder and decided to fly back to her home country immediately.
Pingtung then became the place where Miharu and A-Rang encountered. She set off to look for her mother's last few pieces of stories and memories with the diary with A-Rang, her mother's successful student, and all what happened on their sweet encounter and journey would change their whole lives.
